Laptop will not read my MP3

Hello,



My laptop will not read my MP3. Every time I plug my MP3 into my laptop, it makes a weird noise and does not read it, please help.

what kind of MP3 player are you using, and what OS are you running your computer on?

you could also check your usb root hub properties to make sure you computer is not set to allow the computer to turn the device off to save power. hope this helps you. if not I will keep looking to see what I can find for you.
