Conditional Formatting with dates

Hello, Your help would be greatly appreciated

I have a cell with a date in it (A1). I want that cell to change colour if the following criteria is met

If todays date is 7 days before cell A1 then colour Orange
If todays date is greater than A1 then colour Red
If todays date is more than 7 days before cell A1 then colour Green

goto home ribbon conditional formatting(xl 2007)
click manage rules (last iems) and see the formulas and formats.
