Blank screen after power is on

helo...
my laptop is dell model no. PP42L with operating system 8.
my laptop is getting on asual while starting and it shows windows logo then after it shows a blank screen..,after switching off my power button then also light is glowing.
soo plz give me solution how to start the laptop.
