Toshiba laptop wont turn on.

Hi i have a toshiba p755 s5120 and the hard drive was acting out so i decided to put an old one while the replacement arrived but as soon as i put the old one on computer did nothing. I press the power button and it will light but then nothing tha fanwill not turn on the hard drive light wont turn on. I got the replacement part and it will still do nothing. Not even the screen turn on. Anyone has some advice

Have you tried disconnect power remove battery and hold down the power button for 30 seconds reconnect power supply and try start machine

If no partition or windows os on the new drive it won't boot either.

Yes i have tried removing power it just seems that what ever part that tells the computer to wake up after you press the power butto isnt working and i honestly dont know which one it is.
