USB's port not working on Precision 390

Hi folks,
1st time poster so here goes....

The USB ports on my Dell Precision 390 do not work after windows starts.
The USB's (one at least) do work as I just done a fresh install of windows 8.1 FROM A USB STICK. But after 8.1 starts that same USB port does not see the stick in it....
Run Dell system check and no errors.
USB's all turned on in the BIOS (latest 2.6.0)
Any help would be appricated,
