Screen turned black and the keyboard doesnt work

My computer was working fine last night. Itz a Lenovo CPU, genius keyboard nd genius mouse. Actually when I on the pc it took a long time to startup and suddenly I saw some lines on screen nd in a few seconds it went black, along with that the keyboard stopped worked. The mouse and the PSU works fine. I tried plugin in another monitor and it works fine. What is the issue? Can someone sort it out???

Hi Don78k,

Is the mouse visible on the black screen? If your PC works with another monitor, it is highly possible that the issue comes from your monitor. When you checked with another monitor, did you use the same cable? It is important to try with another cable, because you may be facing some connectivity issue. If the problem persists even with another cable, but there is no problem with another monitor, try to contact the faulty monitor to another PC.

Yes only the mouse is visible . Juz the mouse picture not the cursor.yes I used the same cable. Y doesnt the keyboard work

If you had a signal from an external monitor, I suggest that your laptops backlights must be replaced.
