Hello, I have the same problem as everyone else. My laptop starts its fan and then after 20 seconds it turns off. I have tried the f8 and f12 or whatever and its still no use. I tried taking my battery out and putting it back in and still nothing. I don't know what to do and I have a project due tomorrow. Also this laptop is a lenovo idea pad and it only a year old. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Hello Pmp

I think the problem with your laptop might be related to overheating of the CPU. It could be due either to the malfunctioning of the cooling system, less thermic paste or incorrect currency going through the motherboard provided by the PSU. My recommendation is to bring your laptop to a technician to make the tests of the motherboard because, for example a resistor could be burnt and therefore not providing reducing of the current flow.

Please, keep me posted what happened. Good luck.

So I went to a technician and he said that it was fried up and that I would have to buy a new laptop. It's literally a year old! I am so angry at this point. But thank you again your comment was really helpful

My previous laptop died after 3 year of usage and 1 GPU replacement....
Well, unfortunately noone knows when it's going to fail. That's why I always backup my work on another place. :)
Time for Christmas presents, I guess! ;)
