Hipstamatic Classic is a camera app that is a point-and-shoot camera that adds retro vibes to your photos. The app was developed by Hipstamatic, LLC and was the very first Apple App of the year.

What are the key features of Hipstamatic?

• Classic Camera: this will provide you with skeuomorphic cameras. You can just swipe to change filters, lenses, and films. Also, if you use the Multiple Exposure feature, get ready for some really artistic photos.
• Pro Camera: choosing the Pro Camera will give you maximum control over the photos. You will be able to set the focus, white balance, exposure, shutter speed, ISO, and aspect ratio.
• Editing: called Darkroom editing suite, it includes 20 professional adjustment tools and 12 signature presets for the final touches.
• Presets: if the 12 existing presets are not what you are looking for, then you also have the possibility to create your own presets. You can save them - they have synchronized across devices thanks to iCloud.

How does Hipstamatic Classic work?

Hipstamatic is user-friendly. Once you purchase and install the Hipstamatic app, you will get to choose the lenses by swiping left and right. If you tap on a lens, you will get examples of its effects. On the bottom left, you have another button that will allow you to change films by swiping up and down. Just as for the lenses, if you click on the film, you will get a preview of its outcomes. Next to the films, you have a flash button that opens different flash options. You can also lock the app to the classic version that has more limited options, or you can unlock it to more features. You can confirm your choices by clicking the arrow at the bottom right. Next, you will also be able to set some other options, such as the shutter speed, double exposure, and save favorites.

Is Hipstamatic Classic free?

Hipstamatic is not free and you can purchase it for $1.99. It also includes some optional in-app purchases that vary between $0.99 and $1.99. There is also a Hipstamatic X version.

Is Hipstamatic Classic safe?

It seems that the app has no history of security issues or abusive data collecting. As always, we recommend reading the app’s Privacy policy before installing it in order to take note of the way Hipstamatic uses your personal data. In general, the app looks as safe as any other camera app.
