How to get rid of software counterfeiting

Hello,
this is katie and wants some help from you all..this happened today only.a message had appeared for the installization of something.my small sister agreed and downloaded it..and now a message appears that u may be a victim of software conterfeiting n i tried very much but i couldn't get rid off it.what shall i do?i'm very much tensed and irritated

You should start by downloading malewarebytes from here https://download.cnet.com/malwarebytes-anti-malware/windows.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button When it opens update it, then run a quick scan. Post back what it finds. Also run an antivirus scan with whatever antivirus you are using. Make sure you update it first, and post back what it finds.
