Word documents have change to PDF

All my word documents in all my folders have change to PDF's. Even attachments on emails are coming in as PDF's. If I try to open up with word they don't always convert well and some don't. How to I sort this one out please across all my PC.

This sounds like a virus, or you have made the choice to change the program association.

Yes, I also think Virus has been attacked to your computer.
