OK, so when you say the mouse is still working, how do you know this if there is no video?
Is this a laptop, or a desktop? If this is a desktop, press the monitor On Screen Menu, and see if it displays anything. If it does, then the monitor is working.
If you can see the mouse, and move it around, then press the WINDOWS key, and type explorer. If this opens a window, then your PC is hanging during startup, and may need to have a system scan performed.
Run SFC /scannow
Try uninstalling the last app you installed. Start it in SAFE mode, and see if it starts up, if it does, then the PC is hangin (once again ) on load, and you need to uninstall what ever APP is causing this!
