Dell laptop light is flickering though the adopter light

My Dell laptop light is flickering though the adopter light is ok'
is it warning of some sort?

Flickering? What light is it? Are you certain it isn't the drive indicator?

The starting light comes in my Dell but immediately goes off leaving it blank .help
