I have a Lenovo Yoga 3 which is suffering with the same problem as detailed in the above thread. I've had it almost a year and it only developed this problem in the last month, after being on charge.
I messaged Lenovo today via their Facebook page for UK & Ireland.
They instructed me to power down using this method:
Go to Start Menu -> Choose Power -> While holding down the Shift Key, choose Shutdown.
They said this performs a Full Shutdown rather than a Hybrid one.
I did this and left it a few minutes before pressing the power button, it booted up perfectly.
Thought the information may help others struggling with the same issue.
