Locked out of my Yahoo account

Hello,
Someone else's account was listed in my account list so yahoo prompted to delete that account....now I have no access to the account as the hacked account seemed to be linked to a new phone number I had set up which now doesn't register.
I believe in security but when its your main account it's crazy you can't talk to someone to get in again!
