Hello,
I just want to plug in a $8.00 mic from walmart and talk to my friend on messenger and i have to shout into mic in order for my friend to hear me when i call on the computer phone. I dont want record music just talk. I plugged it into the pink jack but it dors not produce good voloume

hi,
right-click on the speaker icon in your system tray and select "Adjust Audio Properties"
under the volume tab, click on advanced.
you will find the Microphone volume level, you just need to increase the volume level.
if you cannot find it, click on option > properties and ckeck the Microphone box.
