I have speakers...but no sound

Hello,
I'm having an issue with my sound. How do you get sound back on your computer? I have speakers that work but I have no sound...currently I'm using Windows Me, so does anyone know the Me software to get sound back on the computer? Thanks for the help

Wow. Consider updating to at least XP. That is probably the problem. But, if you post all of your computer specs and info I will try to find you the sound driver for ME.

I've tried to upgrade my computer to XP but it fails every time. It says i have missing files and i have no idea how to get them back
