Laptop login screen not showing

So I turned on my Lenovo ideapad 100 laptop and instead of the normal login screen appearing, only my background appeared. No icons, no buttons, nothing except my cursor and background. I tried turning the laptop on and off again but it always went back to the same screen. Only F11 and F12 do anything, but some keyboard combinations might work, I'm not sure. Please help!

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.
