Stuck with recovery phone number

Hello,

I typed in the wrong passwords for my email account (several times), I now remember the correct password, but yahoo doesn't ask for my password anymore. Every time it goes straight to recovery phone number (which was deactivated). Is there any way to get back to using the password to log in rather than a recovery number?

When you created the account, did you register an alternate recovery email address to which you have access to receive an account key?

Hi Ambucias, no only a phone number, which has been deactivated. I remember the password now, but it goes straight to recovery phone number rather than the password.

When is the last time you successfully accessed your account?

about 3 weeks ago. My email program was picking it up until then.

just tried it again and it now asks me for the password!!! :-) thanks again for your help! I guess I just had to wait a few days before trying again?
