Computer won't recognize my flash drive

a few days ago when I inserted my flash drive in my computer, it wouldn't show up on my file list and I have been unable to open files housed on it. I have tried inserting it multiple times in multiple computers and get the same results. is it old? how can I get my files off of it?

Sorry we know of no method for recovery.
