I had a good working windows 7 computer working great -- Microsoft forced windows 10 on my computer and after trying -- there updates continually messed everything I wanted to run in my old programs , that worked fine for me------------- I spent $400-$500trying to get windows 10 to do for me----------- just bought 2 rebuilt computers and starting over----- Can't get Windows live mail downloaded--- all downloads want to do more than just give me the program alone. windows 10 last update finished it off ---repairman said to much just can't bring it back and Microsoft won't help either. I get my email at another site--and from exfinity.com

HI

As of January 10, 2017, Windows Live Mail — is no longer supported on Windows 10. There is no updated version available for download.

Sorry

@dmcoy-Great! So I understand correctly; the original publisher of the software assisted you?

absolutely NOT all they were interested in was windows 10 solutions to a different problem
Sorry "got hooked to Microsoft --------- got no where here" I wasn't plain no they didn't help
I did try something on my own, I copied the whole essentials file and pasted it in the programs file then using the application or exe file to activate it-- didn't work either But, for a different reason :
just copied and pasted into program file on C
C: >Program Files >windows live >Mail > wlmail--------------------- this came on the screen [The program can’t start be cause MSVCR110.dill is missing from your computer.]
[ try reinstalling the program to fix the problem. ]
PROBLEM DIDN’T Install in the first place

YOu must remember, software is a sevice now, not a product. The same goes for the OS. They have moved to a service model, not a product. If you are having difficulty, it may be because you are still expecting this software to be a product.

Hi ac3mark
OH, my first computer cost me $2500 --- Second one was $1850 got a deal, Windows XP ran great for over 10 years
Nothing about my computers has free ever since Microsoft decided to download the windows 10 on to my computer ---2 days later trying to figure it all out I got malware and it trying to fix it --spent $99 and they lied --took it to repair shop cost another $105 he charges to fix---from then on the updates damaged one program or another --again I tried to fix got into more trouble $105 ---went on like this until the May 20 update ,destroyed any salvaging email , 3 other of my favorite programs won't work properly -- I just want the best for me --windows 7 pro 32bit was doing just fine in 2016 -- now I would rather go pull weeds in the bright sun than turn this computer on ------- this computer IS a Windows 7 pro 32bit ---all is well except being able to work my emails ---- I have 2 Dell Optiplex 790 Tower Windows 7Intel Core i5 Quad C DDR3 HDD

It's possible to return to Wndows 7 if Windows 7 was the original operating system.
