When you say "run on top of all other applications", what does that mean?
Referring to updates, is this the software itself updating, or OPERATING SYSTEM updates? You can remove recent updates in the control panel. Remove one by one, with reboots in between each removal, and keep trying to you recover it. Then make the Software maker aware that the OS update broke your $80 software, WTF?
