You have to configure it. Do so at your own risk, as if you mess up, it isn't going to work as expected.
Go to settings, Devices, mouse, click on Additional Mouse options, then click on the WHEEL tab. Is there a CLICK function? There isn't for mine. Scroll Only.

Thanks for suggestion but I do not have this option either as you mentioned.

Then you will not be able to close/open tabs.
