Seagate slim hard drive folders went missing

I have a seagtate slim drive and yesterday all the sudden a lot of my folders went missing. I can’t browse to them but a few of them show in my “history” link and can click on them and they open right up. It’s not hidden because I tried that. There are probably 50 folders missing?

I am assuming not. I can open files from the "Recently opened link" through my program. But I cannot actually browse to the folder itself. So they seem to be still on the hard drive I cannot see the folders though? I tied the "hidden" part but that didn't work and there are lots of folders missing.

I am sorry, I guess I should have asked: "There are some folders still present, just not all? What type of files are in the "gone" folders?

Client folder letters A-C are there that’s all. It contains AI files, PDFs and word documents
