Running windows 10 on a dell home computer. My keyboard is unresponsive. Tried rebooting a few times with keyboard plugged into different USB ports. The number lock light comes on when rebooting but does not work when it's time to log in. Mouse works fine. HELP!

Keyboards are like $10US. If you want to make certain it is the keyboard, ask your neighbor to borrow theirs for test.

Thanks, since the old keyboard responded when the computer was booting up, I didn't think that was the problem. I was able to log in using the on-screen keyboard. Then I checked the device settings. It confirmed that there was a problem with a USB connection. I dug out an old wireless keyboard, changed the batteries, and, thanks to your suggestion, I can pay my electric bill.

Thanks again,
