Hidden files in external drive

My external drive won't show files specially a full movie folder of around 100 gb but the space is occupied by the files 8n the drive. I have done cmd process exactly as told in here plus change the hidden files into show hidden files. When i did the cmd process, only a recycle bin folder came up, no movie video files nor its parent folder.
