Chrome OS / I cannot erase files at all.

Hello,
I have been trying to erase files
I've tried formatting it to erase it all but it just clears the name and i can't move or add files(which is why im trying to restart the drive). What do I do
Computer: Lenevo N21 Chromebook
Please help.
System Configuration: Chrome OS / Chrome 73.0.3683.114

First of all, formatting is the worst mistake you can make! If you did fornat it, did you mean to completely wipe the os?

Perhaps ypu are not an admin on that machine. Is it part of a google group? Where did you get the machine? It sounds like it is being managed by an admin group, which is the purpose of a netbook such as this.
