Hi, so I’ve tried for days now to get sound from my desktop to my tv and I just can’t seem to get it to work. I’ve bought everything I thought I needed for it and nothing seems to help. I’ve done this with my old laptop just using an HDMI cord with no problem, but the desktop I have now doesn’t have an HDMI port. Just wanted to know if there is something I’m missing. I’m adding everything I’ve bought so far and my tv make and model number.
The computer is a Dell that has Windows 7

The audio path is the usb cable. There is no way to tell the TV to watch him put iae the 3.5 mmr Jack for audio input. The adaptors you are showing combines usb and VGA into hdmi.

Sorry it took so long for these tech nerds to answer.

Thanks for responding! So do you have an idea of what exactly I need to do to get sound? I want to say we tried with the USB but we didn’t get sound. But I’m not 100% sure. We don’t know exactly where the usb goes connected to. It’s connected to the computer as of now. But still no sound.

You have to enable the isb as an output for audio. Plug the USB in, and click on the speaker. See of you can use usb out.

So this is what I see when I go to the speakers. When I test it it shows like there is sound coming out but it’s not coming out of any device.

I don’t see where I can set it as a usb out

Nope the only things we have plugged in as a USB are the keyboard and the one that comes with the VGA cable.
