Hi, I'm not sure if you've tried this already but I done this before also but could never get it to work. I do remember I had to highlight what I needed read, go to accessibility tab, a drop down menu will come up and select speak then speak selection. It never worked for me but it might for you. Sorry if this doesn't help.
