Hello,
Are you sending large quantities of emails? Gmail has daily quotas and if you exceed these sometimes you might receive messages such as “you’ve reached a Gmail limit for sending email” or “Oops.. the system encountered a problem”. You will have to wait 24 hrs til the quota resets.
Also if you're sending mails with many recipients on cc or bcc or also mails to multiple non-existent mail adresses, gmail may block this and mark it as spam. Regarding your bank info landing in your spam folder, you can redirect these messages to your main inbox and this should result in all future mails from them arriving in your inbox not your spam folder.
If however none of the above is the case, sometimes simply deleting the app and then reinstalling it on your phone may fix any bugs you're encountering. The good news about this is that all your data-mails, videos, documents etc is stored on Google's server so you will regain all of this info once you reinstall the app.
Finally here is a link to the google status dashboard where you can check if there is an outage, suspected outage or potential problem with any of google's services.
Best,
Aoife

With normal gmail you have a limit of 500 sent mails per 24 hrs. If you think you need more volume than this, you can sign up for g suite which will increase your daily volume to 2000 mails per day. This costs a small monthly fee, info on which you can find here. There are several advantages to gmail in gsuite including 24/7 customer support. Here's a link to an article with all info that can help you make a decision. Hope that helps! :)
