Hello,
Go to settings > Display > home screen > Apps Button (shows a button on the home screen that opens the apps screen).
You will want to enable this. You should now be able to add shortcuts for apps to your home page.

Hi,
I suggest you download ASUS File Manager. Once installed, open the app and allow it to access your files and folders.
Return to your home screen and make a long press in an empty space. Choose Widgets and find the ASUS File Manager icon. Select it, then choose the folder or file to create a shortcut.

Hi
sorry for my late reaction, I must have done something wrong the first time.
Unfortunately the app you refer to is not available in the store (anymore).
thanks anyway for the suggestion.

You can try to download the APK file. Don't forget to allow downloading from unknown sources in the Android settings.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Hi David,
thank you for the prompt answer. Unfortonately adding shortcuts for apps to the home page is not the problem, I'm want to put shortcuts to files or folders so I do not always have to use the file manager.
Derek
By the way, when I go to settings > Display > there is no option "home screen" but the option "home screen layout" and there I can only choose between drawer display or tile display.
