It is recommended to update to windows 10 pro I currently use windows 8.1 pro?

Hi,

Windows 8 is no longer supported by Microsoft, and Windows 8.1 will reach end of support on January 10, 2023. It is recommended to upgrade to Windows 10 if your PC meets the system requirements.

Windows 10 System Requirements:
  • Processor: 1 GHz or faster
  • RAM: 1 GB (for 32-bit) or 2 GB (for 64-bit)
  • Hard Disk Space: 16 GB (for 32-bit) or 20 GB (for 64-bit)
  • Display: 800 x 600


To upgrade your PC, download Media Creation Tool from Microsoft website. Here is the link.

Once downloaded, run the tool and choose Upgrade this PC now, follow the instructions, then choose Keep personal files and apps. Before upgrading, perform a backup of your personal files.
