Memory card wont work

Hello,
I have a kodak sd memory card, i took new pictures and put my memory card into computer like normal i chose to copy pictures to folder and the new pictures i took all showed up as x's, so i took the memory card out put it into my camera and i was able to see them there. I had to end up formatting the memory card then i took a picture to see if it would work now and it didnt show up at all. I restarted the computer and no resolution. Is the camera broke? Or what? Please help.
