Hi, please use Pidgin instead. Windows programs are not made to run in linux but linux has plenty of alternatives for everything you are likely to need and much much more. If you hunt around the menu's in Fedora you will probably find that Pidgin is already there.

You might need to open your package manager to find, download and install pidgin but i really think it's in the menu's somewhere.
Also hopefully these 2 guides might help you adjust to moving away from the Windows lock-ins and lack of adequate security
