Hi
I'm setting up a new computer, and the first thing I do is download Firefox. I don't want to use Edge. I'll never use Edge, but when I went to download Firefox using Edge...

I received about 6 warnings that "Firefox Installer.exe" was unsafe, or "not commonly downloaded." Microsoft Defender even tried to prevent me from installing it.

This is anti-competitive behavior on Microsoft's part and should be/is illegal. Will someone stop these Fortune 500 companies from taking over the world before they see their opening please?

Hi,

Windows Defender and Edge will never block you from downloading the Web browser that you wish to have and use. It seems that you have tried to download Firefox from a suspicious source.

You should always download Firefox or anything else from their official site to avoid issues like that. Here is the link to download Firefox. The setup file comes directly from Mozilla.
