Hello
I’m new to trying to post to TikTok   I’d like to upload royalty free (no copyright concerns) videos with the hopes of building enough of a following to eventually use affiliate marketing links.  I read that if you use videos already on TicTok (modified to where they are used as your content) that TicToK’s algorithm won’t show them often True?  If so will this be the same for my videos that are already on the web in some form?  Can I edit or modify the videos enough that TicTok would consider them as “new”?

Thanks for the help

Hi,

That seems true - TikTok's algorithm may restrict a video from gaining views and being recommended if it detects that the content has been duplicated, but I didn't find an info that confirm if this also applies to royalty free content.

However, TikTok users have found a possible way to avoid being detected as duplicate content by editing the video so that it looks original.
