How to know if I accidentally deleted one contact's messages

Hello, so i was checking one of my contacts, and I realized all of the messages I had with her are completely deleted, I don't remember ever deleting them and restoring from a backup didn't recover any messages.

Is it possible that she deleted all of them from my phone? How can i know if i deleted them and dont remember?

Hi,

There's a feature on WhatsApp that allows to delete messages for yourself or everyone. However, if messages are deleted for everyone, they'll be replaced by "This message was deleted".

Another possibility is that your friend used "disappearing messages". Messages sent will be kept for 24 hours, 7 days or 90 days, then disappear. You can obtain more info on this page.

You can use WhatsApp recovery program to conduct a scanning on your device, it will list all you messages.
