Hello,
I use U Torrent and my downloading speed is 25kbps on average. I use BSNL Broadband.My configurations are windows vista Home Premium. 3 GB RAM and 256 MB NVIDIA graphic card.

for greater internet speed, you need to contact your internet service provider and ask them to upgrade your connection.
