I want to remote a PC (XP Pro) using another PC (Vista) via RDC. Both are in the same house using the same router [So I want to connect directly from the wireless network, not through the internet]
When I try RDC I get the message "This computer can't connect to the remote computer."
I did a lot of research about this. Some solutions didn't work, other made me really confused. I have no background in networking at all.
Notes:
* Both firewalls are turned off
* The port 3389 is listed.
* The users are allowed to remote the host.
The question is how to solve this issue?
If there is any port forwarding, please lead me to the way of doing it. Also point to which PCs should I forward the port from?
Please I'll appreciate it if you show me the steps of doing it.
