Problems with the cd rom

Hello,
im having problems with my cd rom everytime i try to install or put in a dvd or a cd game into a laptop it wont read it. I have to shut it down or restart it in order for it to read it but then in a short period of time it stops reading the disk. What should i do?

hi,

update the driver of the CD drive.

this should fix the problem.

or if thios is a hardware problem, youwill have to get the drive replaced.
