Disable SATA Closed

Question

Hello,
I have problem to install xp on vista Sony Vaio,,
There is no option in BIOS to diable SATA
& when use win2000 its shows press F7 to disable

I did new partition using FDISk from win98 second edition

Now situation is
"Missing Operating System",,message appear
It accept boot from cd-Rom
but can not find Hard drive

so can you please suggest me

hi there,,


first of all go to bios and reset it to default

then try to reboot by cd it should detect your hard disk use vista if nt detected as you've used windows 98

then as its being detected go to bios and disable native mode save and exit 

insert your windows xp cd and enjoy
