I have a silly question. I had hp repair my v6000 for exactly this issue about four mos. ago. Now I'm having similar problems (other problems that are on the list of symptoms on hp's site. first, the single beep upon booting, now no booting at all). I saw on the hp site that the BIOS for dv2000/V3000s should be updated to F.39 or later
and the dv6000/dv9000/V6000 to F.3D or later. The service center replaced the system board and it now has F41. Is that appropriate version?
