Anyway, my computer is quite old, I bought it a few 4-5 years ago, its previousely had a problem but it took about 5 minutes to fix it. This time is quite different however.
If the signal cable is not connected to the hardrive (from the monitor) the screen says 'Check Signal Cable'
I then connect the cable to the hardrive, but when this happens the whole screen turns black. I can get it to re-appear when I log in, or when I press the Turn on/off button. However it re-appears very dim, with the left side being partially black.
When this happened I thought I would leave it for a a few days, but the problem is still there. If anyone could help me I'd be grateful, I'm not fantastic with the computer coding, names and stuff but I'll try to find out if you need any details.
