My husband's having an issue with his Dell Inspiron 1521 -- it won't start up. He had this same issue yesterday, but removing the battery and then putting it back in seemed to do the trick. Today however, he's not so lucky. After wasting an hour of repeatedly trying to get it to turn on, he has managed to get it to start to load. The little ticker thing gets to about 95% (something about BIOS -- sorry I'm ignorant about stuff like this) and then it shuts right back down. His battery light blinks, and he says he can test to see that it has full power (though I don't know how), but even removing the battery and running it with it just plugged directly into the wall doesn't help. Any suggestions?
