no sound after using hijack Closed

Hello, I had an issue with my com which is a gateway 500x desktop useing winxp home edition I used hijack to fix it but now i have no sound when i look under sound devices it says no audio device and volume and everything is grayed i looked looked at gateway site and tried to download and install realtek but it still does not work any help would be appreciated

hi there,

try to restore your machine to a date it worked perfectly before that issue

follow these steps :

Press Start, All Programs, 

Accessories, System Tools ----> System Restore

 Open it and then select a date when you worked perfectly 

then press next Let the process to be done Restart your machine normally 

if problem persists then backup your files then format it
