Hello,
I am unable to start my Acer Laptop Enspire One. It uses Windows xp.
when i start the computer it says:

"Windows can not start because the followng file is missing or correcpted"

<windows root>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
Please reinstall a copy of the above file

The Acer Enspire does not have a CDROM drive
and when I try to start in safe mode is give me the same missing or correcpted file

hi,

this problem may be due to several issues such as:

>Keyboard issue
replace the keyboard and check the result, if it is still the same, then the problems may be from the below ones.

>Casual corruption
Choose the Last known good configurations to boot and see the results.

>Corrupt boot.ini file.
>Missing boot.ini file.
>Missing or corrupt ntoskrnl.exe file.
>Corrupted hard disk drive or severely corrupted Windows.
For any other issue you will need to repair the windows.
connect an external CD drive to it.
