Problem with my sony laptop

Hello,

plz i got restarting problem with my Sony laptop. On power on the screen would stay black, no POST, just the cursor on the display. i can move my cursor if i want but no further processing, plzzz help me out from this,

hi there,

please follow these steps :

1. Clear CMOS.

2. Remove all ram. I then got beeps for no ram.

3. Insert one RAM, boot.

This should help out.
