Thank you
if you have windows 8 and are using the email tile with your email accounts sync to it. Try going to the desktop version and going to your email accounts website and trying it through there.

Say "Thank you" 2

A few words of thanks would be greatly appreciated. Add comment

HI there,

to be able to open pdf attachment in your email your pc needs to have

pdf readers installed on it

please use this link to download pdf reader from official adobe website :

http://www.adobe.com/uk/downloads/

thanks
Found simple solution is to install microsoft visual c++ and in my case as I am using windows7 64bit. Link to download site is http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=14632.
Install this as Admin, reboot and off you go.
Good luck

Here is how I fixed mine. I opened the document, which it open in word. I saved the document as pdf format. I then opened the document from place I saved it. It opened as pdf, but with garabe. I then right click and properties tab. File associated with to open changed to pdf click apply. When I went back to my email message the file was in proper format. I then opened it. It was fine.
Great stuff indeed

Even you have installed PDF reader, you may also cannot open the pdf files. That is possiblely your PDF reader is the older version, you need to download the lastest version of pdf reader
