Lost Files and Docun=ments

Hello,

I have lost important files and documents. i would appreciate any help I could get in recovering these files and documents. I am running Windows XP Home Edition sp2 on a HP/ Compaq desktop. i changed the motherboard and had a configuration error. I ran the recovery program and complicated the problem. I lost the all files and documents in the My Documents folder and the user profiles. Thanks in advance for all assitance.
