Hello,
hi i need to reboot my computer back to factory settings for various probs but it came with no disks and i made no back up disk. whoops. i have found a large (about 8 gig) partition. would this be the windows system files reboot so i wont need a disk. im using vista and the computer is sony and brand new.

no its not that

You need to re-build your laptop

for that you must use your recovery cd

or installation cd
