5.1 Sound How?

Hello,
So I have a Asus P5NE-SLI Motherboard with an SPDIF Out. I also have a Samsung 5.1 Home Theater system with a optical in, component in, and standard RCA in(s).
My question is, how/what do I need to be able to get the sound from my computer to go through all 5 of my stereo speakers including subwoofer through my receiver? Can I use an SPDIF to optical? Im really stuck right now..
